Attendees are expected to be registered with, and have the Best Coast Pairings app functioning before the day of the event. Please visit their website for information on how to get started.

Roster Submission

In order to participate, attendees must submit their Matched Roster in text form via the Best Coast Pairings (BCP) app, using the same email which was used when purchasing an event ticket at least one week prior to the event. This is in addition to the two physical copies required the day of the event.

Kill Team Composition

Attendees will be required to have a roster of up to 20 operatives, plus three barricades  to play in this event. Details on construction of a Kill Team can be found on page 90 of the Kill Team Core Book. Kill Team barricades can be obtained from the Kill Team Essentials kit, or any box set released by Games Workshop (e.g., Octarius, Nachmund, etc.). Although it is not recommended, players may scratch-build their own barricades, as long as they maintain the same size and shape as those produced by Games Workshop.

Scoring

At the end of each game, attendees will use BCP to record their results. In the event of tie breakers, the following will be used:

Pairings

All Kill Team Cascadia events utilize BCP to record scores, generate pairs, and assign tables. Attendees must have BCP installed and functioning prior to check-in. First round opponents will be randomly determined. Following rounds will be determined using a swiss pairing system, utilizing the BCP app. If attendees ever find themselves facing repeat opponents, please reach out to a tournament organizer.

Modeling and Painting

Creating a narrative experience with highly detailed, painted models as an intrinsic component of the Warhammer franchise. With that in mind, it is strongly recommended that attendees use models made by Games Workshop or its affiliate Forge World (excluding basing and scratch-built miniatures). Each model must accurately represent the operative which it represents on the attendee’s Matched Roster. Additionally, models may not be modified in such a way so as to gain a benefit from the converted model/proxy, and should accurately reflect the most current version of the model. We request that scratch-built, heavily converted, third-party, and 3D printed models be submitted to a Kill Team Cascadia tournament organizer for approval at least two weeks prior to the event by emailing photos to events@killteamcascadia.com or during in person registration.

In order to provide the best experience for all attendees and spectators, it is required for attendees to fully assemble their models, and have them painted to at least a Battle Ready standard. Examples of such standards can be seen below.

Inclusivity and Hate Speech Policy

The members of KTC strive to grow and improve the community by creating events that are as welcoming and inclusive as possible. It is the policy of KTC not to discriminate based on ethnicity, gender orientation, sexual orientation, faith, or political views. While KTC recognizes the established fiction of the Warhammer 40,000 universe as it is, it is important to recognize that this fictional universe is satirical and not to be aspired to. As such, it is the policy of KTC that all forms of hate speech are prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: verbal speech, physical gestures, attire expressing/portraying hate speech or discrimination, converting models to embody/portray members of hate/fringe groups both past and/or present, etc. Failure to adhere to these simple guidelines will result in all games counted as automatic losses in the BCP app, immediate expulsion from the event without ticket refund, and a subsequent ban at all future KTC-sponsored events.
